Our Tree Adventure

Last year Tyson and I started the tradition together that every year we are going to make a trip up into the mountains to cut down our Christmas Tree.  This is one of my favorite things I look forward to now each  Christmas.  We all packed up in the truck, bundled in warm clothes and snow boots and listened to Christmas music while searching for the best spot to find a tree. Tyson really got into the mood this year (as you'll see below in the pictures) for his next weekly video coming this Wednesday!  Its going to be one you won't want to miss :) After we hiked and hiked and hiked, we all found our favorite trees to bring home. We drank some hot cocoa there in the snow to finish the day off and warm ourselves up before heading home. Best way to start this Christmas Season out! (And thanks to my cute little sister in law for snapping some pictures for us while we were busy on the hunt!)

Monthly Vacation-Park City

Park City was calling our name this month for a weekend getaway. It may have been 0 degrees at night and 17 degrees during the day but we did not let that stop us with how much fun we had enjoying this city.  We've come up here occasionally but decided we wanted to explore all of Park City and drove in places we both have never seen, with the most amazing houses and cabins to die for. We then went down the historic Main Street and ate at Bandits, which I highly recommend. After that we got ourselves a red box, some Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate,  thanks to Stephen, and headed back to our hotel.  We then got ourselves geared up to face the bitter cold in bathing suits and enjoy the hot tub and met some new people. Nothing better than a hot tub in 0 degree weather. The next morning we went up to the Olympic Park where we walked through the Museum which brought back lots of memories of the Olympics here in Salt lake in 2002. It was also cool to see the end of the North American Bobsled competition going on and seeing them receive their medals. So grateful for times like these to forget about school and work and enjoy time with the one I love the most!

I < 3 Pumpkin

I have to say that I am completely obsessed with everything pumpkin.  Once the official fall season was nearing, I went into pumpkin mode and bought my pumpkin cupcake soap, pumpkin sensie, pumpkin steamer (thank you Kneaders), pumpkin spice cake, you name it. We finally bought our actual pumpkins and got around to carving! We headed over to my mother-in-laws house to get our creative carvings on with my punkin's family. Even though Halloween is tomorrow, its never to late cause you always gotta carve a pumpkin this time a year! ..You can expect to see our pumpkins on the front porch till the day after Thanksgiving. Happy Halloween!!
P.S is there an age limit on trick or treating?

Here is Tyson's latest video of our trip to Havisupai this summer!
