MY STROLLER PICK....NUNA TAVO

Let's just start with saying that when it comes to putting things together (furniture, crafts, strollers, chairs, pretty much anything) I am not the first one volunteering.  I would rather buy things already made for me and that just come to me as the finished product.  With that being said, me and the Nuna Tavo stroller were a match made in heaven.  It was the easiest thing to put together with just a few snaps and clicks!  There was no drills, allen wrenchs, screws, nothing. The directions were very user friendly for people like me and took me less than 5 minutes to have it put together.  It also was shipped to my house in just a few days! I am literally obsessed with this stroller!! Not only does it look beautiful, but it is so well made and steers amazingly.  I had my sister Whitney, who is a mom of two boys, test out the stroller since she is experienced in that department, and she also said it was a win.  She told me the true test of a stroller is if you can push it with one hand and can steer just fine. The Nuna Tavo passed that test with flying colors.  Right away I ordered myself the Nuna Pipa carseat and base to go with it and I am just dying to push my little babe around in it now! You can purchase your Nuna Tavo stroller here and your Nuna Pipa carseat here

PROJECT NURSERY W/ VIDEO

(This wall is still a work in progress)

I've been waiting to post pictures of the nursery until it is completely finished but I figured that is going to take a lot longer to happen so here is what is done so far! About a year ago, I saw this wallpaper on pinterest and told myself I was going to have that one day in my house.  It took me a while to look for it but I FINALLY found it and it was EVERYTHING I had hoped for!! I had never used wallpaper before so I was really nervous about ordering it.  The girls that own Anewall were so amazing to work with and have such quality watercolor wallpapers.  This is the tradition vinyl ordered in a custom size and sticks smoothly to the wall.  Couldn't be more happy with it! I also received this gorgeous, soft rug from Lorena Canals!  What's cool about all of their rugs is that they are machine washable! WIN!! They also donate a percentage to help support education for kids in India. The bedding and toy bag is from a company in Sweden called Tellkiddo and they have the CUTEST nursery decor!!! They ship internationally so check them out!  I get so excited to think that our baby could really be here any day!  I walk by the nursery all the time and just stand in there thinking about our baby boy who is about to join our family.  We can't wait to meet him!!

BUMPstyle BOX

Ok. I wish I had heard about BumpStyle Box way earlier on in my pregnancy! This is seriously one of the most perfect ways to treat yourself during pregnancy because you feel like its Christmas every month! All you do is sign up online and fill out information that matches your style.  You then get assigned a personal stylist that puts together at least 4 different outfits and ships them all straight to your door.  You keep the ones that you want, and send the rest of the clothes back and just get charged for the pieces you keep! My stylist was so amazing and I loved every piece of clothing I was sent!  Here is the link to their site so you can go order yours!

OWLET BABY MONITOR

Anyone heard of the Owlet Baby Monitor?  I heard about this monitor before I was even pregnant and I already had known that this was an absolute MUST for me to have for my baby. There's nothing that will make me more comfortable as a new mom then knowing that my baby's vitals are where they should be when he's sleeping. I'm sure with me being an ER nurse I am even more paranoid about this! I am so excited to have this device to give me that piece of mind with these extra set of eyes watching over my babe!

How it works:

The box comes with smart socks in different sizes to fit to your baby. It fits snug on the baby's foot to monitor the heart rate and oxygen levels while the baby sleeps. The Owlet is designed to alert you if your baby's heart rate and oxygen go out of parameters. There is also an Owlet app you can download to your phone to see what the levels are at at all times.

I'm so excited to try this out on my baby boy when he gets here and will let you all know how it is!! If you'd like to purchase your Owlet, click here

Third Trimester Already?

It's so crazy to think that I am already in my third trimester and just coming up to 30 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has literally FLOWN by! Tyson and I are both getting even more excited and anxious now for this little man to join our family.  Every opportunity we have to go out together, take a vacation, go camping, or see a movie, we take it knowing that those things won't be as easy when the baby gets here. We also have a name that we are pretty set on as well and as long as he comes out looking like that name then we are good to go! These next two months are jam packed for us which hopefully will make our due date come soon! We just got back from a work trip in Lake Powell, will be packing and getting the house ready for renters this weekend, moving into our new home next week, leaving to Hawaii next weekend for our 2 year Anniversary/Baby Moon, then the baby shower, visiting family in Idaho and then...Nesting time! So excited for everything to come and to finally get the nursery together!!

P.S  This dress is one of my FAVORITES!!! Its from Pink Blush Maternity and literally is so comfy and perfectly fitting for my belly! I love that it can be worn more casual with sandals, or dressed up with heels. I'll be posting a giveaway on my IG so all you preggo mammas go look out for it!

THE BUMP

It's such a crazy thing to think I am almost half way through this pregnancy with our baby BOY!! We are now at 18 weeks and just finished up another OB appt where the babe is measuring right where he should be at the size of a sweet potato. As you can see, he's not doing a very good job at hiding himself anymore. The bump has made its debut and thanks to Tyson for taking these pictures of it! These past two weeks I have felt lots of flutters going on and then just within the past few days I have been feeling actual movements more and more! It is the coolest and weirdest thing and it almost scares me when it happens. Now that we know what we are having, I just can't help but look at baby boy clothes EVERY where we go or on the internet allll the time. I also may have jumped the gun a little early and bought myself my all time favorite fawn design diaper bag that I just want to use right now but not sure if that would be weird or not. Anyways I have to say that one of my absolute favorite things right now is how cute Tyson is with our baby boy. It is seriously the funniest and cutest thing when he talks to him through my belly. He will talk to him as if I'm not around and then when I start laughing he will ask me in all seriousness to give him some alone time with our son hahahaha. It never gets old! Well two more weeks till our full anatomy ultrasound which we can't wait for to see our baby again! In case you missed it, click here for our latest video of our gender reveal at 14 weeks!

OH BABY: THE NEWS

I'm so excited to finally get another blog post up where I can talk about this crazy news we found out about around Thanksgiving time! Still hard to believe that we're having a BABY!!! Pregnancy is seriously the weirdest thing with all the changes happening but first, lets start from the beginning.

It was the day before Thanksgiving, and I had all my family staying with Tyson and I at are house. I had been feeling a little off that whole week and had actually already taken 3 pregnancy tests the week before that all came out negative.  We both woke up early to go to the gym together and again, that morning my body was feeling achy and I just knew there was something going on. When Tyson went downstairs, I ran to the bathroom (morning pee is the best) , and took another pregnancy test and was kinda frustrated while watching it because I thought I was going to get another negative and was determined that being pregnant would be the only explanation for me to feel this way. As I stood there watching the stick on the bathroom counter and seeing that very faint pink line show up, I felt like I was going to pass out.  I don't even know how to describe that moment.I stood there with my hands over my mouth and tears rolling down my face. tears of excitement, and tears of fear. Seconds later, I hear Tyson coming back up the stairs so I hurried and hid the pregnancy test and wiped the tears off my face. I knew he would want it filmed when I tell him and now was not the time for that. He came in and asked me why I was taking so long to get ready and so I told him to just go without me cause I had some things to do. When he walked out of the room, I started crying again just thinking about how our lives are going to change so drastically where it would never be just me and my hubby ever again. Oh the pregnancy emotions were going strong!
So since I had all my family at my house, there really wasn't any time that day for me to tell Tyson without any of them knowing or hearing. We had that whole day already planned with activities and I was just freaking out inside wanting to tell HIM! Longest day EVER! SOO, the next morning, Tyson was in our closet getting ready, and I set up his camera in our room while I sat on the bed. We have a shared calendar on our phone so I quickly added "Happy Father's Day!" to our calendar for THAT day (Thanksgiving). I hear his phone vibrate from the notification and sat there so nervously thinking he would come running out.  Well...he comes out a minute later asking me if I knew where his favorite jeans were...dang it! I told him he should just wear one of the ones he had in the closet so he went back in the closet and then comes out just a few seconds later saying, "oh yeah, why did you add fathers day to the calendar?" I froze and didn't know what to say so I just sat there for at least 15 seconds with a smile on my face until he figured it out and said "ARE YOU PREGNANT!!!????" and then for the next few minutes there was a roller coaster of emotions that ended with "I'm going to be a Dad!!" which was the cutest thing ever.

So here we are, now 14 WEEKS ALONG, finishing up another appt where baby is still healthy and strong, and we couldn't be more excited!! It is the cutest thing when Tyson sees other young dads with their little son or daughter and then tells me how excited he is for that. I can already tell how amazing of a dad he is going to be! He has truly been the best husband with doing so much for me while I've been sick. He's been up with me during the night, running errands for me to satisfy my cravings, getting a million different prescriptions, and bringing me breakfast in bed before I get up in the morning so I don't feel sick. I can't thank him enough for that and for still being so sweet and supportive when I've been grouchy. I'm so lucky!

Stay tuned for more updates! We will be finding out the gender very...very soon ahhhh!!!
