It's such a crazy thing to think I am almost half way through this pregnancy with our baby BOY!! We are now at 18 weeks and just finished up another OB appt where the babe is measuring right where he should be at the size of a sweet potato. As you can see, he's not doing a very good job at hiding himself anymore. The bump has made its debut and thanks to Tyson for taking these pictures of it! These past two weeks I have felt lots of flutters going on and then just within the past few days I have been feeling actual movements more and more! It is the coolest and weirdest thing and it almost scares me when it happens. Now that we know what we are having, I just can't help but look at baby boy clothes EVERY where we go or on the internet allll the time. I also may have jumped the gun a little early and bought myself my all time favorite fawn design diaper bag that I just want to use right now but not sure if that would be weird or not. Anyways I have to say that one of my absolute favorite things right now is how cute Tyson is with our baby boy. It is seriously the funniest and cutest thing when he talks to him through my belly. He will talk to him as if I'm not around and then when I start laughing he will ask me in all seriousness to give him some alone time with our son hahahaha. It never gets old! Well two more weeks till our full anatomy ultrasound which we can't wait for to see our baby again! In case you missed it, click here for our latest video of our gender reveal at 14 weeks!
I'm
so excited to finally get another blog post up where I can talk about
this crazy news we found out about around Thanksgiving time! Still hard
to believe that we're having a BABY!!! Pregnancy is seriously the
weirdest thing with all the changes happening but first, lets start from
the beginning.
It was the day before Thanksgiving, and I had all my family staying
with Tyson and I at are house. I had been feeling a little off that
whole week and had actually already taken 3 pregnancy tests the week
before that all came out negative. We both woke up early to go to the
gym together and again, that morning my body was feeling achy and I just
knew there was something going on. When Tyson went downstairs, I ran to
the bathroom (morning pee is the best) , and took another pregnancy
test and was kinda frustrated while watching it because I thought I was
going to get another negative and was determined that being pregnant
would be the only explanation for me to feel this way. As I stood there
watching the stick on the bathroom counter and seeing that very faint
pink line show up, I felt like I was going to pass out. I don't even
know how to describe that moment.I stood there with my hands over my
mouth and tears rolling down my face. tears of excitement, and tears of
fear. Seconds later, I hear Tyson coming back up the stairs so I hurried
and hid the pregnancy test and wiped the tears off my face. I knew he
would want it filmed when I tell him and now was not the time for that.
He came in and asked me why I was taking so long to get ready and so I
told him to just go without me cause I had some things to do. When he
walked out of the room, I started crying again just thinking about how
our lives are going to change so drastically where it would never be
just me and my hubby ever again. Oh the pregnancy emotions were going
strong!
So since I had all my family at my house, there really wasn't any
time that day for me to tell Tyson without any of them knowing or
hearing. We had that whole day already planned with activities and I was
just freaking out inside wanting to tell HIM! Longest day EVER! SOO,
the next morning, Tyson was in our closet getting ready, and I set up
his camera in our room while I sat on the bed. We have a
shared calendar on our phone so I quickly added "Happy Father's Day!" to
our calendar for THAT day (Thanksgiving). I hear his phone vibrate from
the notification and sat there so nervously thinking he would come
running out. Well...he comes out a minute later asking me if I knew
where his favorite jeans were...dang it! I told him he should just wear
one of the ones he had in the closet so he went back in the closet and
then comes out just a few seconds later saying, "oh yeah, why did you
add fathers day to the calendar?" I froze and didn't know what to say so
I just sat there for at least 15 seconds with a smile on my face until
he figured it out and said "ARE YOU PREGNANT!!!????" and then for the
next few minutes there was a roller coaster of emotions that ended with
"I'm going to be a Dad!!" which was the cutest thing ever. So
here we are, now 14 WEEKS ALONG, finishing up another appt where baby
is still healthy and strong, and we couldn't be more excited!! It is the
cutest thing when Tyson sees other young dads with their little son or
daughter and then tells me how excited he is for that. I can already
tell how amazing of a dad he is going to be! He has truly been the best
husband with doing so much for me while I've been sick. He's been up
with me during the night, running errands for me to satisfy my cravings,
getting a million different prescriptions, and bringing me breakfast in
bed before I get up in the morning so I don't feel sick. I can't thank
him enough for that and for still being so sweet and supportive when
I've been grouchy. I'm so lucky! Stay tuned for more updates! We will be finding out the gender very...very soon ahhhh!!!

I know it still may be a little early, but seeing all my neighbors get their cute halloween/fall decorations out made me get in the mood! Tyson and I didn't do any decorating for Halloween last year at our home so I had to put a stop to that this year. I was so excited when he said he would come with me to Hobby Lobby to pick out some decorations! It was so fun today being on our porch putting up these simple decorations for the holidays. He thought I was crazy this morning and then ended up saying that he was so glad I got him involved and in the halloween spirit haha. Win!! Also we put together a vlog of this fun day..you've gotta check it out below or by clicking here! p.s dont hate on my kitchen broom
The second day in New York, we headed over to see the Statue of Liberty which was another check off the bucket list! We met up with Devin Graham (Devin Supertramp) and his awesome girlfriend Megan, who were also in NYC filming, and did a little double date action since we were all planning on seeing Lady Liberty that day. It was so fun having them with us where we could be each others personal photographers to get our couples pictures in! It was crazy to be walking around the feet of the Statue of Liberty and thinking about all the history that took place there. We also went over to Ellis Island to the Immigration Museum which was so cool to think about all the millions of immigrants that passed through it as they arrived to America for their first time. I loved how gorgeous this area is with all the trees and flowers. Tyson and I can't wait to go back! Thanks for coming to my blog!

New York was an absolute dream! Tyson found out about one week before this trip that I was able to go with him to film part of Saturday and Sunday which left us with Friday and Saturday to explore the city. With the little time that we had, I felt that we saw exactly what we wanted to, but definitely planning another trip where we can have more time! The most amazing part was that we flew into the city on 9/11. The first stop we made was Ground Zero. We quickly made our way to the subway station and asked lots of people for direction till we made it there. It was so breathtaking to be standing there at the location of the twin towers and realizing that was where all the tragedy took place that day 14 years ago. We spent awhile there walking around and seeing families and friends of loved ones hold each other tight. Such a cool experience.
Later that day we made our way up to Times Square which was the next more important thing I wanted to see!! It was so crazy walking up from under ground into the heart of Times Square! I am such a city girl and love being in places with so much going on and this was right there at the top for me. So many lights, people, street entertainers, taxis, horns honking, you name it. I can truly understand now why NYC is called the concrete jungle.
Our last few hours of the trip was spent exploring Long Island and of course we had to go visit Southampton! I now understand why the celebrities own homes there and would DIE to live there one day also!! The streets are lined with 12ft high bushes and openings only at the driveways where you have all the privacy in the world. Literally mansion after mansion with yards the sizes of football fields (ok maybe a little exaggeration there). Tyson was making fun of me the whole time with all my ooooss and awwss of how unreal these homes are (the ones that we could actually see). We also drove to Coopers Beach just so we could say that we had been from west coast (San Diego) to east coast all in two weeks. After that we walked down main street, had lunch at a cute restaurant, picked up some ice cream cones and got on our way. Can't wait to go back!!!
